Station and Remote Property Electricians in Far North SA

On a station, the hard part of electrical work is rarely the work. It’s getting someone to drive out, do the job properly the first time and come back if anything needs looking at afterwards.

Distance shouldn’t decide whether the work gets done. Arctrix Electrical is a licensed electrical contractor based in Roxby Downs, travelling to stations and remote properties right across Far North South Australia. Our electricians scope each job by phone and photos before leaving town, so the right parts and gear are on the trailer and your time on site is spent working, not waiting on parts.

Where We've Worked

Stations We've Worked On

We’ve worked at Cowarie and Wilgena stations and at Kalamurina Wildlife Sanctuary. Cowarie is around 600km from Roxby Downs up the Birdsville Track, a full day’s drive on unsealed roads with a trailer behind the vehicle. Wilgena sits out towards Kingoonya, and Kalamurina is near the northern end of Lake Eyre.

Our Process

How It Works

  1. Call and Send Photos

Tell us where the station is and what needs doing. Photos of the switchboard, equipment nameplates and the problem area let us plan the job before we leave.

  2. Plan the Trip

We’ll agree the scope, the price and the dates with you, including travel, so you know exactly what the trip covers before we head out of Roxby Downs.

  3. Work on Site

We’ll work through the job on site and flag anything else we find while we’re there, so you can decide whether to add it before we pack up.

  4. Sign-Off and ECOC

The work will be tested and signed off before we leave, and your certificate of compliance will be emailed through so the paperwork is on file.

Planning Work on Your Station?

Tell us where your property is, what needs doing and when suits you, and we’ll talk it through.

Travel is included in your quote, based on the distance and the time on the road, so you’ll see the full cost of the trip before you agree to it.

No. We don’t install, service or repair solar panels, inverters or battery systems, which run most station power. Everything else on the electrical side is covered, and a dedicated solar and battery installer is the right call for that part of your setup.

No. Our electrical licence covers South Australia only, so every job is within the state. That still takes in a lot of ground, from the Eyre Peninsula and Port Augusta up through the Far North to the Birdsville and Oodnadatta tracks.
